A New Direction
Dear Connesteans,
I had wanted my first communication as your new President to be one of healing and possibilities, Unfortunately the rancor over communications regarding the Clubhouse and Wellness Project has gotten so out of control that we must deal with it immediately.
The debate has shattered trust, damaged friendships, and is tarnishing the image of Connestee Falls. Your new Board reflects the widely disparate views within the community. However, we have found in our initial conversations that we have many ideas in common where we can work together to improve Connestee Falls. Improving dialogue and assisting our neighbors in need are two important examples.
We all hoped we could get to August 30th and with all the campaigning over we could then begin to heal. But continuing on our current path is so destructive I don't believe we could truly recover without permanent damage to the community. Those in the fray are increasingly angry and bitter, while those on the sidelines are watching with dismay and sadness at what is happening to our community.
It is time to stop. Stop the blaming and the endless rounds of back and forth messaging of all types. All the information you need to cast an informed C&W vote is already in your hands or on our website. CFPOA will stop further Clubhouse and Wellness Project communications, unless the Board agrees there is truly new information that needs to be disseminated. We hope that others will choose to do the same. On August 30th, the Clubhouse and Wellness vote will be over, the results known and we will move on.
In the meantime we ask that you to take some time to reflect, individually and with other Connesteans, on what you want Connestee Falls to be in the future. The Board will be doing the same and actively seeking your ideas. There will be a Board Meeting on August 27th to talk about what we all have learned and the way forward.
